Police stopped a vehicle at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 14 on Lake Avenue near Homewood Drive after it hit a parked car, according to a police occurrence report. Officers arrested a female driver for driving while intoxicated and driving while under suspension, according to a police occurrence report.

Grand Theft Vehicle: Cove Avenue

A resident of an apartment building on Cove Avenue near Detroit Avenue called the police department at 8:55 a.m. on August 17 to report that her vehicle was missing from the parking lot, according to a police occurrence report.

Criminal Damage: Cove Avenue

A resident of Cove Avenue, near Lake Avenue, called the police department at 7:57 p.m. on August 17 to report that his car window had been smashed in the past two hours. The car was parked in a parking lot out back.

Flight: Detroit Avenue

A woman contacted the police department at 4:30 p.m. on August 15 to report that her bicycle had been stolen outside Giant Eagle, according to a police incident report.

Threatening: Robin Street

Police received a call at 4.17am on August 14 from a Robin Street resident who said a man who had been released from jail in the last half hour was throwing bricks or rocks on his porch and at its windows. Officers arrested an adult male for threatening, according to a police occurrence report.

Flight: Detroit Avenue

An apartment resident called the police department at 1:26 p.m. on August 14 to report that a man exited a vehicle and removed the catalytic converter from a parked vehicle.

At 9:30 p.m. on August 13, officers responded to the Rite Aid Drug Store regarding a man who took a pack of cigarettes and walked east. Officers arrested the suspect for theft, according to the police occurrence report.

Theft: Lake Avenue

A resident at 2:45 p.m. on August 12 came to the Lakewood Police Department to report that he had been scammed by someone claiming to be from the power company. The scammer asked the victim to pay his bill immediately using an online money transfer service, otherwise a team from the electricity company would cut off his electricity immediately. The complainant verified that the electricity company had not contacted her.

Disorderly Conduct: Madison Avenue

On Aug. 13 at 12:49 a.m., officers responded to a bar regarding a man wearing a Hawaiian shirt throwing chairs and glasses, according to a police occurrence report. The suspect exited the bar and was heading south on Lakeland from Madison. Officers caught up with the suspect and arrested him for disorderly driving while intoxicated. He was released at a sober party.
