In addition, the phone number must be linked to your bank account to make the UPI payment.
For smartphone users, offline UPI is not very important because it can use UPI apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, etc. However, cell phone users can use USSD code * 99 # to use UPI. Besides, this feature is good for smartphone users who have internet issues.
How to make UPI payments without the Internet
- First type * 99 # on your phone keypad and make a call.
- 4. You will now be able to see a number of options. If the first option is “Send money”, dial 1.
- You will now be asked where and how you want to send the money, for example to a cell phone number, to a UPI ID, IFSC code or to a pre-save beneficiary.
- Now select one of these options, fill in the details and hit send.
- Now enter the amount and send it.
- Now put the remark.
- Now you are going to ask for a UPI PIN code, tap on it and send it. Now the payment has been made.
