Paytm is a digital payment platform that allows people to transfer money to anyone instantly using the Paytm wallet. Paytm is owned by One97 Communications. You can transfer money digitally instantly to anyone at no cost using the Paytm wallet. You can use the Paytm app or website to pay online top-ups, utility bill payments, book movie tickets, or travel tickets.

A minimum KYC is required to use your Paytm wallet. Without a minimum KYC, you can still use Paytm for UPI money transfer and make purchases using credit / debit cards and net banking.

Here’s how to check the KYC status in Paytm:

Step 1: Log in to your Paytm app.

2nd step: Then tap your name in the navigation panel on the left side.

Step 3: Your KYC status will appear on the screen.

To note: If your KYC has been completed, you will see a blue check mark next to your name.

Here’s how to activate the Paytm wallet through the app:

Step 1: Open the Paytm app on your phone.

2nd step: Now tap on the Profile icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Then press “Create a new account”.

Step 4: Enter your information such as your cell phone number, email address and password.

Step 5: Now press “Create a new account”.

Step 6: You will get an OTP on the mobile number you entered.

Step 7: Once you have entered the OTP and clicked “Submit”, enter your first name, last name and date of birth.

Step 8: Press “Create an account”.

Step 9: Your account will be created.
